The young talents of Bijnor have a massive opportunity to develop their sports skills and seed victory in the dream field of sports. The district sports authority of Bijnor adds in an enormous effort to create sports awareness among Bijnor people. The sports authority of Bijnor serves as separate department under the state government of Uttar Pradesh. The authority’s primary objectives are to identity the sports talents in the district and train them to enhance their skill in the field of sports. As an initiative the whole of the Bijnor district sport office complex is recreated as a sports complex, with multiple sports training facility to redirect the interest of the young talents of Bijnor towards sports.Facilities By Sports Authority in Bijnor
The Bijnor district sport office complex has many facilities for sports training and nurturing like swimming pools each for kids training and adult training, multipurpose hall, volley ball court, basketball court, football ground, handball ground, a standard running track, hockey lawn, badminton court, cricket net practice ground, table tennis equipment, weight lifting rooms. Sports equipment for each and every sport kind is also available in the complex.
The training for sportsmen is sponsored by the Ministry of Sports of the State Government of Uttar Pradesh. Various camps on sports training in Bijnor is also conducted by the sports authority to find the local talent and get them trained by well-qualified coaches of Sports Authority of India – SAI and trainers from the department of Sports Directorate. The training includes coaching the talent to improve the skills, teaching them the strategy of the game and the getting them know about the psychological aspects of the game. The trainees showing higher and positive results are picked up by the sports authority and send them for higher-level coaching at a different venue. The sports authority also provides sports hostels in Bijnor for the trainees to accommodate.
Nehru Stadium in Bijnor
Nehru Stadium in Bijnor has many sports training facilities like training grounds, basketball court, badminton court, swimming pool training, running track and an average seating capacity to nurture the younger talents of Bijnor to get trained and enhance their skills. Various preliminary level, zonal level and district level tournaments were also hosted by the stadium to pick up promising talents of Bijnor and send them for further levels of trainings to incorporate winning tactics and confidence building.

Bijnor sports club is a union of sports freaks in the city, the members of the club participate in sports meets and also participate in various sports awareness programs. The members of the club also volunteer for event management in sports related activities hosted in the city.
