Bijnor district is divided as five sub divisions Sadar, Chandpur, Dhampur, Nagina, Najibabad on which any first class judicial magistrate can be appointed as the sub-division judicial magistrate. The sub division judicial magistrate oversees the entire judicial magistrate in the allotted sub division. The first class judicial magistrate can sentence on a criminal case up to three years of imprisonment and fine up to five thousand rupees whereas the second class judicial magistrate can sentence imprisonment one year and fine up to five thousand rupees. E-court Bijnor

The E-court is a project introduced by the state government in 2007 in Bijnor. The primary aim of E-court is to file case, allotting case, registering case details, recording the workflow of the case, case orders and the case judgements. The recorded details are displayed on the web so that the case related lawyers and public can freely access the case information on web. The national informatics centre – NIC is responsible for the implementation of the E-court project. The Bijnor district judge is responsible at the district level implementation of the project while the NIC takes in charge of the web site posting, hard ware, software installation and other technical issues. This project is under the implementation with the supervision of the special committee. The project is monitored on each step by the department of justice. The high court appoints the central project coordinators to look after the implementation work of the E-court project.
